Our registration process

• Contact the Legal Aid Office to obtain a registration form, or....
  
• Click here for information on how to obtain a registration form you can print off!
  
• Complete both pages of the registration form and return it to the Legal Aid Office.
  
• If you qualify for our services your name will be placed on our waiting list.
  

• Typical waiting period is about 2-3 months.
  
• When your name comes to the top of our waiting list, we will contact you by mail.
  
• If at any point your address or income changes, you agree to notify us.
  

• If you DO NOT qualify for our services, we will contact you either by phone or by mail.

Call the Legal Aid Office Immediately and DO NOT use the usual registration process if:

• You are in physical danger and need help obtaining a protective order. (or call 911)
  
• You have been served documents requiring a response to the court with a time deadline.
  
• You are required to appear at a Court hearing.
  
• You are facing an appeal deadline.
  
• If you are not sure whether your case is urgent, call us.
