Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)
Giving in the Congregation
The General Fund
The annual Consecration Service program regularly encourages members to grow toward 10% (tithe) proportional giving of both our income and time. The General Fund sustains many of the ministries, programs and events outlined in this booklet.
The Building and Capital Improvement Funds
Members also have an opportunity to give regularly to the physical facility that is home to the worship, learning and service of the congregation. Building Fund receipts make our monthly mortgage payments for the education addition dedicated in 1998, an indebtedness of about $115,000. Capital Improvement Funds care for infrastructure repair and replacement (for example, replacing the 30 year-old exterior doors without a congregational appeal). How much to give? Take 5% of your General Fund figure and split it between the two funds that would adequately maintain the facility.
Office Volunteers
There are a variety of office tasks which need extra hands. If you are interested in occasional office work, or would like to perform a weekly office task (e.g. attendance records, preparing bulletins) please contact administrative secretary Sherri Beaty.
